Native app development · Unterhaching

Native macOS and iOS app development near Munich.

I develop careful apps for Mac, iPhone and iPad using Apple’s native technologies, without agency hand-offs. From the first technical decision to release, you work with the person writing the code and taking responsibility for the product.

Software built with the same care as my own apps: native, privacy-minded and considered far enough that not only the demo, but everyday use works well.

Services

Where I can help

The focus is native Apple platforms. I take on complete products as well as clearly bounded technical work.

Native macOS, iOS and iPadOS apps

SwiftUI and AppKit, so the product truly feels at home on the platform rather than wearing a generic cross-platform shell. From focused menu-bar tools to full document apps.

Existing apps and codebases

Code review, Swift 6 concurrency, performance, architecture or taking over an established project. Not every engagement has to begin with an empty Xcode project.

On-device AI, Metal and 3D

Local models, GPU acceleration, Gaussian splatting and real-time graphics. Data stays on the device whenever possible, and the technology serves a concrete product need.

From idea to the App Store

Concept, interface, implementation, localisation, sandboxing, notarisation, review and release. The unglamorous parts are carried through properly, too.

Technical assessment and advice

An independent view before a project, a focused code audit or a credible prototype before larger product decisions are made.

Working together

Small, direct and understandable

Kindler Dev is a one-person studio. There is no hand-off from sales to an unknown team: we shape the scope together, and I keep decisions and progress visible.

First conversation

We clarify the goal, users, platform and the open technical question. If I am not the right fit, I will say so early.

Scope and proposal

You receive a comprehensible proposal with scope, responsibilities and a realistic next milestone.

Development

Short, visible increments instead of a long black box. Decisions are documented and tested against the actual product.

Release and evolution

App Store delivery, handover and maintenance are considered from the start, not once the first build happens to be ready.

Munich and the Hachinger Tal

Remote by default, available in person

I work remotely with clients throughout Germany and beyond. For workshops, project kick-offs and reviews I am also available in Unterhaching, Munich and the Hachinger Tal, particularly Taufkirchen, Oberhaching, Neubiberg and Ottobrunn.

The practical service area in the south of Munich also includes Brunnthal, Hohenbrunn, Putzbrunn, Sauerlach and Grünwald. What matters is not a place name on a page, but whether meeting in person helps the project.

Frequently asked questions

Before the first conversation

Which projects are a good fit?

Native apps for macOS, iPhone and iPad, especially when interface quality, local data processing, Metal, 3D or a demanding desktop workflow matters. I am usually not the best fit for generic websites or interchangeable cross-platform projects.

Can you take over an existing app?

Yes. An engagement can begin with a code review, an architecture or performance question, a Swift 6 issue or the gradual takeover of an existing codebase.

Do you work remotely or in person?

Remote is the default. In-person workshops, kick-offs and reviews are possible in Unterhaching, Munich, the Hachinger Tal and the south of Munich.

How are scope, source code and confidentiality handled?

Scope, usage rights, handover and billing are stated clearly in the proposal before work begins. An NDA can be agreed before technical details are exchanged.

Can you handle release and maintenance?

Yes. Signing, notarisation, App Store review, updates and continued technical development can all be part of the work. Fixed-scope projects and ongoing engagements are both possible.

Next step

Tell me what the app needs to do.

A short description of the goal, platform and current state is enough to begin. I reply directly and will also say openly when another route makes more sense.
